Driver Intake

Clear expectations for CDL drivers considering opportunities through XV3 Drive Life.

New CDL Drivers: Start Your Career the Right Way

This intake form is specifically for brand new CDL drivers and recent CDL academy graduates who are ready to start their driving career with paid road training through one of our trusted carrier partners that accepts new trainees.

What This Intake Form Is For

When you complete this form, you’re raising your hand as a new driver who wants real OTR experience—not just a license. XV3 reviews your info and directly reaches out to you to discuss the best options available for paid training so you can build miles, confidence, and a solid foundation from day one.

Guidance for Brand New Drivers

We help you understand your options and figure out which type of position is the best first step for you as a new driver—so you’re not guessing or jumping into the wrong fit.

OTR Training Opportunities

We currently have OTR training opportunities with carriers running Dry Van, Reefer, and Flatbed freight. These roles are designed for new CDL drivers who are serious about learning the job, running miles, and opening up more regional and local options later.

Important: Read Before Submitting!

XV3 isn't the right fit for every driver—and we believe in being upfront about that.

To respect our time and the requirements of our carrier partners, please review these key points. If several of these apply to your current situation, this intake is likely not the right path for you today.

XV3 Is Usually Not a Fit If You Have:

Recent Incidents

  • Multiple recent tickets, accidents, or serious safety violations on your record.
  • A criminal history that prevents carrier background approval.

Unstable History

An inconsistent work history or several job changes within a short period of time.

SAP Program

Current enrollment or recent participation in the Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) program.

Job Hopping

A history of moving between carriers frequently without building professional tenure.

OTR/Regional Fit

An unwillingness to run Regional or OTR lanes as part of your primary job workflow.

Strictly Local

Seeking strictly local positions instead of building a career on long-haul foundations.

Market Expectations

Pay or home-time expectations that do not align with your actual level of driving experience.

If these points reflect your current situation, please hold off on submitting an intake profile. This transparency helps us keep the process efficient and honest for every driver we work with.

For New CDL Graduates and Trainees

XV3 works with a select few carriers that hire trainees and drivers fresh out of CDL school. MOST of these opportunities are OTR to start for Trainees.

  • Expect OTR first—regional and local roles typically come later
  • Be prepared to run and gain experience before requesting highly specific home-time or lane preferences
  • Understand that your first role is often about building your record, not landing your “forever” position

If you are a new driver ready to run OTR and build solid experience, submitting your intake can be a good next step.

Transparency Notice

Every carrier XV3 works with will review your MVR, background, and safety history as part of their decision-making process.

  • Serious safety issues, recent major violations, or undisclosed incidents will almost always block placement
  • If you already know your record has major concerns, this intake path is unlikely to lead to opportunities

This transparency is meant to respect your time and keep the process honest and efficient.

What Happens After You Submit

Submitting your intake form starts a review—not a guarantee of placement.

  1. XV3 reviews your intake profile and experience details.
  2. XV3 searches for opportunities within our carrier network near your zip code and within your experience band.
  3. If a potential match(s) exists, XV3 reaches out to discuss the opportunity(s) and next steps.
  4. XV3 get's your application process started with that carrier and get you submitted if you choose a presented position.
  5. That carrier takes over and contacts you directly once they receive your application from us!

If there is not a current match, XV3 may keep your information on file for future opportunities, but cannot promise outreach.

If you meet the criteria above, have realistic expectations, and are interested in our assistance, complete the driver intake form below.

If you’re ready to hit the road and explore available opportunities, submit your intake form. XV3 will reach out if a match is available. — XV3 Drive Life
